Heat Pump Annual Service & Maintenance Works Information
Geowarmth Heat Pumps provides annual servicing and maintenance for heat pump systems installed by our team. We work with leading manufacturers including NIBE, Vaillant, Grant, Mitsubishi Electric, Viessmann, CTC, Ecoforest, Dimplex, and Danfoss / Thermia units.
For Geowarmth installation customers, one scheduled annual service, usually carried out between April and September, is required to maintain peak system performance and efficiency ahead of the heating season.
Following each visit, you will receive a detailed Service Report outlining the condition of your system and all maintenance work completed.
Our Annual Service typically includes the following:
- Travel time to and from 1 site (up to 60 miles from North Shields office)

The service of 1 heat pump unit, hot water cylinder & buffer (if installed)

Checks on one ground loop system

Checks on heating and hot water distribution system

Future telephone access to, and remote assistance from, our Duty Engineers
The Cost of the Annual Service is for an Air Source Heat Pump is £300.00 (inc VAT) – £25.00 per month
The Cost of the Annual Service for a Ground Source Heat Pimp is £330.00 (inc VAT) – £27.50 per month

How To Arrange A Service
To join the Geowarmth Heat Pumps Service Plan, simply select the relevant link below for your system type.
Whether you have an air source or ground source heat pump, completing the online sign-up form will allow you to register for annual servicing and ongoing maintenance support from the Geowarmth team.
Your Annual Service Plan does not include:
• any repairs or replacements that require a separate visit;
• cleaning of the heat pump and heating system beyond clearing the area for the purpose of the service visit
If we find a problem or fault that needs to be fixed, we will tell you about it to help you with next steps. The cost of any repairs are not included in this plan.
Faults or Repairs
If your heat pump develops a fault, Geowarmth can arrange to attend to attend to diagnose the issue. Our Call-out fee is £180+VAT and includes the first hour on-site. Our hourly rate thereafter is £95.00+VAT. Mileage will be charged at 0.55p per mile for any visit over 60 miles from our North Shields Office. Any parts provided will be subject to additional cost. A quote will be provided for any visit or parts prior to attending.
Manufacturer or Workmanship Warranty
Where you believe that the fault may be covered under any warranty provided by Geowarmth, it is your responsibility to mention this to us when reporting the fault. Failure to do so may result in you being charged for any attendance or parts as we may not have had the opportunity to follow any manufacturer warranty rules.
The difference between Workmanship warranty and Manufacturer’s Warranty:
Our workmanship warranty covers problems caused by improper installation, while your manufacturer’s warranty covers defects in the materials or products themselves due to manufacturing issues.
Depending on what has been installed you may have a parts-and-labour manufacturer warranty which covers both the replacement parts and the cost of repairs, while a parts-only warranty covers the replacement components but leaves the labour cost to the customer. If you have a parts-only warranty, Geowarmth will charge you for the labour associated with diagnosing the issue and repairing or replacing any parts provided by the manufacturer. Our hourly rate is £95.00 + VAT.
